- Launchtown is complete and has been running in place for 2+ months. It’s imperative that we have a full portfolio of work, demand and projects prior to attempting portfolio selections.

TIMEFRAMES
Implementation:
After you have a complete portfolio running for a few months, we can begin to create portfolios and rank and review them for selections. You can gauge this if you have a complete portfolio or at least a complete portfolio for a specific subset of your organization i.e. Information Technology.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Portfolio Management and selection is as much an artform as it is a technical endeavor. It is best done behind the scenes within the PMO or EPMO initially to ensure we have good information and it aligns with the companies goals and values. As much effort it took for the Project managers to learn and adapt to dynamic scheduling; it will take the portfolio managers to understand, scoring, ranking, drivers and portfolio management.
